The Vancouver skyline and neighbourhoods like the DTES and east vancouver are being filled with condos as the construction boom continues. One thing they dont seem to be building is office space. Without that Vancouver will turn into a bedroom community like Coquitlam or Surrey. With all these condos being built we could reach a point of having too much resedential and not enough business(office space)..with saying that Vancouver is already a unattractive place to set up a business as not many headquaters are based here. Downtown office space needs to be built like where the current shangri-la is being built would have been perfect although now its will be a hotel/condo..or all these condos over by GMPLACE.

Good call David!
A well designed city should factor in both residential and business accommodations.
Urban development works best when commuting is reduced and people travel less as they go to work and enjoy their leisure time.
